Comparison of performance between Ubuntu 32-bit and 64-bit Ubuntu;
Cette page regroupe les tests qui examinent les performances comparées des architectures 32 et 64 bits.
In summary, the 64-bit Ubuntu versions are faster in performance than 32-bit versions. By cons, there are still applications that exist only in 32-bit version and then require the 32-bit compatibility libraries, which can affect their performance.64-bit technology, called EM64T and AMD64 AMD by Intel, allows a bus width of 64 bits instead of 32 during the transmission of information between the various components on the motherboard. Pragmatically speaking, it provides (in theory) the ability to transmit two times more information in the same time.However, we know there is always a more or less significant difference between theory and practice.
